Lynn, Just discovered your rather old posting. It seems Arthur Gleasons are a rarity, My Mothers father was named Arthur Gleason, He was a bit of a rogue, He married my Grandmother, Helen Pixley Shufelt in Hillsdale N.Y. Circa 1893 when she was 14 and he was 17. They had a boy, Frederick, who died in infancy and my mother, Helen (1895-1994). Arthur abandoned his family in 1900 to attend the Klondyk Gold Rush. He returned to Torrington,Ct or Great Barrington, Ma, in the forties, married and had seven children He committed suicide at age 72. I never met him or my half aunts and uncles. I have seen his marriage certificate for his first but I can trace him back no further. Rutlagi
