Searching ggg-grandparents. Info from their daughters death cert.
dad Ryan Gleason b NY mom Marthia b Mpls(?)
Daughter was Sophia Virginia Gleason b ca 1840 in ILL (from death cert) she married Samuel Nelson Young of NY 9 Mar 1859 Eaton Mich. They had 6 children in Fillmore Co Minnesota. When Sam died she gave all children to foster care then eventually remarried to a Charles Sanford of MN and went on to have 2 more children.
Ryan Gleason maybe spelled Rion, as Sophia's oldest child was named Martin Rion Young ( Martin after Sam's dad and Rion/Ryan after hers)
Another Gleason living in the area that took Sophia in after Civil War and widowhood was Freeborn F. Gleason b 1830 NY married to Elizabeth Rowe living in Spring Valley MN with 4 children. Believe he is Sophias brother.
Only other info I have on parents is mom Marthia thought was born in Wales , this from MN census info on Sophia Gleason Young.
Please email me if any names connect, I have most info on Sophia's children and the Young Family. Plus other connecting marriages Sheppard ect in MN. But need help on Gleasons
