Hi Susan.
Thanks for the reponse. I went through all my records and could not pinpoint a Mrs. GLEASON who died in Jefferson in 1841. I would love to get more info... was this in an article? My earliest GLEASON ancestors lived in Lenox and Jefferson and died either before 1841 or after, but were all from the same family that I have found so far. There was another GLEASON family in Ashtabula County, in Harpersfield Twp., distantly related. So I am intrigued!
As for the BAILEY and UDELL families I'm afraid none of those twigs are on my tree, however I have several names for you in case you don't have this info already.
From "Names of women who were born in the Township of Lenox or came to it prior to 1840" I have the following:
Married Name, Mrs.: Timothy WATERS
Maiden Name: Sophronia BAILEY
Year Came: 1832
Where from: Berkshire Co., Mass.
Last residence: Lenox, Ohio
Married Name, Mrs.: Turner HOLMAN
Maiden Name: Almira BAILEY
Year Came: 1836
Where from: Berkshire Co., Mass.
Last residence: Lenox, Ohio
Married Name, Mrs.: Ira FRENCH
Maiden Name: Minerva BAILEY
Year Came: 1817
Where from: New Hartford, CT
Last residence: Lenox, Ohio
Thanks again for the contact and I look forward to more on "Old Mrs. Gleason".
All the best!
Tom
