1808: Geo. Glascock buys Land from Jacob & Diana (Rector) Faubin, of TN. & VA.

Indenture dated 2 May 1808 in which Jacob Faubin and Diana, his wife, late Diana Rector, of COCKE COUNTY, STATE OF TENNESSEE, and late of Fauquier County, State of Virginia, of one part, sell to George Glascock, of Fauquier County, of the other part - witnesseth that whereas Henry Rector, deceased, of Fauquier Co., in and by his last will dated the 8th January 1799, devised his estate to his then wife, Nancey, for her life, and then to be equally divided among his Representatives, and whereas after the death of the said Nancey, Administration of said estate was granted to the said George Glascock, who sold a tract of land containing 150 acres for 450 pds. Virginia money, and whereas Jacob Faubin and Diana his wife being heirs and devisees aforesaid and having received their proportionable share of said money, do sell their part and claim, etc. Witnesses: W. Garrett, Ezekiel Campbell, Coleman Smith. Certified by Justices of Cocke County, Tennessee, same date as above. Recorded Fauquier Co. Va., 26 September 1808.
