Mrs. J.R. Glasscock McALLEN. - Last rites for Mrs. J.R. Glasscock, 53, pioneer Valley resident, were held Monday afternoon at 4:30 from the Martin-Nelson chapel with the Rev. H.F. Hamner, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Roselawn cemetery. Until she became seriously ill about a year ago, Mrs. Glasscock was active in all social affairs in the city. The Glasscocks came to the Valley from Kingsville 27 years ago, locating first at Mission, but came to McAllen in a few years. Survivors are her husband, who is assistant city supervisor of McAllen; a son, J.W. Glasscock of Pampa; a daughter, Mrs. Larry Fritz of McAllen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abner Wilson of Kingsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Beatty of Kingsville and Mrs. Carl Schoppe of Galveston; two brothers, Ab Wilson of Austin and Sidney Wilson of San Antonio. Pallbearers, all Valley pioneers, were E.E. Phelps, B.E. Horn, R.M. Bounds, C.D. Martin, L.J. (Shine) Mason and Frank G. Crow.
