Lorraine Glasscock
Lorraine Glasscock, 69, of Reader, died Sunday (Oct. 4, 2009) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Mannington, a daughter of the late Jacob Lonnie and Mable E. Toothman Starkey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Reader Church of Christ.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Glasscock; and a sister, Maxine Starkey. Survivors include a son, James Daniel Glasscock II, a daughter, Pamela (Ronald) Jackson, and a grandson, Daniel Jackson, all of Reader; a brother, Danny Starkey of Morristown, N.J.; a brother-in-law, Larry Lynch of Sistersville; three sisters-in-law, Deloris Glasscock of Staplehurst, Neb., Lorena Glasscock of Elkhart, Ind., and Nellie Glasscock of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Donald Kline officiating.
