Fern Schlimme
Fern M. Schlimmem 87, of Sparta, Ill., born Jan. 3, 1913, in Sparta, Ill., died at 11:20 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, Ill.
Mrs. Schlimme was a member of Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sparta, Ill. She had worked at Spartan Light Metal.
Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Schlimme, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1941 in St. Louis, Mo., and who died on May 6, 1975; parents, Henry and Mary, nee McConachie, McIntyre; three brothers, two sisters; an infant sister; and a great-granddaughter.
Surviving are her children, Helen (Jim) Tritt of Henderson, Ark., Ron (Mary) Schlimme, Bill (Sheryl) Schlimme and Warren (Sharon) Schlimme, all of Sparta, Ill.; grandchildren, Rhonda Pullmann, Chuck Glasscock, Quentin Glasscock, John Schlimme, Jason Schlimme, Ronda Schlimme, Billy Schlimme and Heather McIntyre; step grandchildren, Mickey Curry, Ruth Mason, Mary Gardner, Michelle Kelkhoff, Brian Hall and Courtney Hall; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association .
Visitation: Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta, Ill., and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Bethel Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sparta, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at the church with the Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, Ill.
