Rachel Chaffin
Greenville Herald-Banner -- March 12, 1999 -- Rachel Nicole Chaffin, 16, of Cordova, Tenn. died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Land officiating. Burial is in Sullivan Cemetery in Campbell.
The daughter of Marvin Isaac Chaffin and Shelly Lynn Glasscock, she was born Dec. 8, 1982 in Atlanta. She was a student and was a member of First Baptist Church in Moores Lane, Texarkana, Texas.
Surviving are her father and step-mother, Marvin Isaac and Crystal Chaffin of Texarkana; mother and stepfather, Shelly Lynn and Mike Tobin of Cordova, Tenn.; grandparents Charles and Bess Glasscock of Celeste, M. B. and Dorthie Chaffin of Campbell, Mill and B. C. Cobb of Heafer, Ark., Ernest Tobin of San Antonio and Dorothy Price of New Boston; a brother, Jacob Chaffin of Arkadelphia, Ark.; stepbrothers Chris Tobin and Troy Tobin, both of Cordova, Tenn. and three stepsisters, Beth Tobin of Columbus, Ohio, Sannon Bellotte of Texarkana and Amanda Glover.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home.
