Obituary: Mrs. Julia (Davis) Glasscock
MRS. GLASSCOCK DIES AT AGE 57
SOUTH BOSTON - Mrs. Julia Davis Glasscock, 57, of Virgilina, Rt. 3, died yesterday.
Born May 10, 1919 in Person County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ella McCann Davis. She was married to the late George Washington Glasscock and was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Faye Puryear of Roxboro, and Mrs. Violet G. Moore and Miss Lou Glasscock, both of Virgilina; two sons, Forest D. Glasscock of Virgilina and Mark R. Glasscock of South Boston; one brother, William Davis of Roxboro; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at North Fork Baptist Church by the Rev. Harry Smith, the Rev. Clarence Biship and the Rev. Marvin Suitt. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home in South Boston from 7:30-9 p.m. today.
