My father insists our Glaeser family was Jewish, but I have the death certificates of my oldest Glaeser ancestors that came over to the U.S. in about 1890 and they were not buried in Jewish cemeteries. They were buried at St. Matthews. So I am questioning the Jewish part? Need to do more research. Unless they changed religion when leaving Germany due to the issues going over there and the fear?
Well, you never know our Glaser/Glaeser ancestors could connect. There are so many variations of the spelling when Americanized it's harder to trace them.
