Several of my ancestor (Noland, Russell, Hendren & others) lived in Rowan/Davie Co. in the 1790.I have copies of information from the records of of a local genealogist in that area, Mrs. McCubbin.She mentions the will of Gregory Glascock (book B, page 177) "made while in a very weak & low sate of helth on Oct 2, 1787.Sons:Harmon (the northern part of the home tract next Lidston Noland) & Henry (the southern part of the home tract but he must look after his mother) Daughters: Mary, Sarah Blanehos? Elizabeth (wife of Lidston Noland) & Winny (wife of Isaac Holeman) Ext: son Henry.Witnesses:Philip Dulin, Mary Willibekson & Basil Gaither.
Book 17, page 316: March 2, 1787, Gregory Glascock (Jane makes her mark) lets Ledson Noland -- all of Rowan Co., NC --have 150 acres on Dutchmans Creek next where Isabel Adams lives, Lewis Peck, both sides a small branch on up it to the head of a large hollow between where said Glascock & said Nowland live next said Noland's Spring & spring branch & ---Montgomery, for 50 pounds.witnessed by Daniel Rogan & Basil Gaither.
