I am researching my husband's ancestry. His great, great grandfather was William A. Glascock. William A. Glascock was born in Virginia in 1844 but his father was a speculator and the family moved to Alabama when he was 16. In 1869, William A. Glascock married Jane (or Jennie) Yates Biscoe in Baltimore, Maryland where they raised four children: Adelaide, Jennie, William A. and Walter. William A. Glascock was a traveling shoe salesman and we have several love letters he wrote to his dear wife while he was away.
On the death certificate, William A. Glascock's parents are listed as William R. Glascock (born about 1812 in Kentucky) and Adelaide Adams (born about 1817). Other children of William R. and Adelaide Glascock are Marion, Martha, Enoch, Mary, Alfred and Charles.
Does anyone know who William R. Glascock's parents would have been?
