Hello All, Let me introduce myself. My name is Nollie Washburn Neill, Jr., my great great grandfather was Giles Thomas Glascock, born in Halifax Co. Virginia in 1844. My grandmother was Carolyn Glascock Stokes, daughter of Giles oldest son Thomas Addison Glascock. Giles founded Glascock Plow & Stove Foundry in 1873 in Greensboro NC. Company was incorporated in 1906 as Glascock Stove & Mfg. Co., they would contiune to make wood & coal stoves, plus other cast iron items until the mid 1960s. We have traced our family history back to the late 1700s and one of my relatives T. A. Glascock III (current President of the Co.) is always working on the family history. My main interest is the history of the Foundry, for which I have lots of the old records, dating back to the 1880s. But of course I'm interested in family history also. I have a website for the Stove foundry, address listed below. It's still under construction, but some photos area available on the Gallery page and a complete list of products is on the Products page. Look forward to learning some more Glascock history via this site. Take Care, Nollie Neill, Jr. Glascock Stove Historian / Collector www.Glascockstove.com Notify Administrator about this message?
