This is the story I've been told by a Robeson Researcher:

Stephen Glare and his wife Mary were overheard by their servants (at least two of them) discussing "freeing their slaves" in their Will while they were discussing their Will.

The two house servants presumed to hasten freedom from their bonds and poisoned Stephen and Mary in their food.

The servants were immediately pursued and summarily Hung until dead.
