Greetings,

Mary Ann Gladson B: 1852 born in Illinois was the daughter of Calvin G Gladson & Mary Anna Killingsworth both parents were born in North Carolina. She also had a brother named Nathan born 1858.
The State Archive has in their records the marriage of;
DAVIS, HIRAM E & GLADSON, MARY A on 06/16/1870 in marriage book B page 9 Marriage License # 323 in Perry Co. Illinois.

I have 3 children for them
Susan Janet Davis B 1872
William Davis B 1875
George Davis B 1877 all three born in Illinois. The entire family is listed on the 1880 Federal Census in Tamaroa, Perry, Illinois This is all I have on this family for now There is a Hiram E Davis listed as date of death of 1936-02-28 in Aurora, Illinois at the age of 87, could be him. Not sure what became of Mary A.

Now an interesting note is on the 1900 Illinois > Perry > Tamaroa > District 58 Census there is a Mary A Davis who was born 1852 in Illinois whose parents were both born N Carolina, she is listed as Widowed and 3 children 2 living, one son with her named David born Feb 1878 he was born Illinois Father Ohio Mother Illinois. Could this be her Mary Gladson? I've seen where when divorced they say Widowed on Census back then, and found both to be alive.

Something to think about.
