Sorry for such a lengthy response. As for John C. Gladden, I am not sure of relations, as little of my family history is known to me now. I do, however, know this Gladden side goes back to a William Maxwell Gladden who married Mattie J. McClure. They had a son named Claud Gladden who married Lottie Bell Baker. Claud and Lottie had the following children:
Woodrow Gladden
J.D. Gadden
Wilbur (Will) Gladden
Walter C. Gladden
Claud Lee Gladden
Nonnie Gladden-Baker
Lorrene Gladden-Neeley
Gertrude Gladden
Of the above, Walter C. Gladden married Myrtle Ann Boulware, and had three (+) children, Beatrice Gladden, John Wilson, Charles Edward Gladden, Clara Mae Gladden-Henson, and J. C. Gladden.
Charles E. Gladden is my father, and he had two other children named Tammie Charlene Gladden-Collns, and John Walter Gladden. Later, it is said that he had a illigitamate child named Kimberly Puckett, but I am not sure if it is true....He never admitted it to me.
Hope this helps.
