Thanks for responding! Yes, it's possible my grandfather Vito was their brother. I have been told they had two sisters by the names of Julia and Mary. Do those names sound familiar? There was a big earthquake there in 1915 and we have been told all of my grandfather's immediate family, (mother, sisters and nephew) died. I am not certain of the names of their parents, but some family members think their father was Berardo and mother was Domenica. This is possible as my father was the first born grandchild and his name was Bernard (Bernardo). Here in Chicago there are other persons with the name Gizzi, but have been told they are not our relatives, even though they have come from Collarmele also. I was able to visit Italy and the village about 5 years ago, and it was a thrill for me, my sister and Aunt Theresa, (my Dad's sister) who was 79 at the time. Their father Vito died in Chicago, when they were all very young. If any of this sounds familiar, would be happy to hear from you again. Our family knows very little about out heritage and any little bit we find is a thrill for us all.
