Gist Family Owensboro KY, and Indiana?

i am looking for any information on my family History.
here is what i have thus far.

My Father is Narven LaMar Gist, indianapolis Indiana, (born 1964),
Son of Sam Gist(owensboro KY) and Ninel Crouch/Gist/Hilton (of Somerset KY)

Sam was the son of either John or Edward Gist of owensboro KY.

if anyone was any iformation past this, it would be great
