Gist Cromwell Mayor and Myers

I just finished Antonia Fraser's book on Cromwell the Lord Protector.

It says Oliver Cromwell's son Richard Cromwell married Dorothy Mayor and they had a daughter named Elizabeth Cromwell. According to Antonia Fraser, It seems that the Richard Cromwell family were very distant and Oliver Cromwell was always asking about his granddaughter Elizabeth Cromwell when he wrote letters to Dorothy Mayor's father Richard Mayor.

I want to know why this can't be true.

Oliver Cromwell Lord Protector + Elizabeth Stewart
Richard Cromwell + Dorothy Mayor
Elizabeth Cromwell + Christopher Gist
Richard Gist + Zipporah Murray
Surveyor Christopher Gist + Sarah Howard

Surveyor Christopher Gist was George Washington's Frontier Scout and Guide during the Indian Wars, his plantation at Stewart's Crossing PA was used as Gen Braddock's HQ.

My Myers family lived at Stewart Crossing PA for a time. They were noted as the Mayor/Myers family. Jacob Myers was a surveyor for the Ohio Company and worked for Christopher Gist.

Christopher Gist's brother was Thomas Gist.

Then Thomas Gist + Susan Cockey. Their son was General Mordecai Gist.

Susan Cockey's nephew John Cockey Owings and he was business with Jacob Myers. John Lee, the son of Gov of Maryland Thomas Sim Lee, was the Executor of the Jacob Myers Estate. John Lee's brother Thomas Lee was married to Eleanor Cromwell the only daughter of Richard Cromwell of Baltimore.
