Hi,

I am related to Christopher Gist (6th g grandfather) by way of his son Thomas (daughter Elizabeth Johnston Gist McCune), my suggestion would be to try and get a death certificat for your know relative and sometimes the family names are included (Father, Mother etc.). Then repost. If I still had ancestry I would try to find this info for you. I will pull my copy of the Dorcey genealogy and see if anything is listed.
Keep posting that is how I found the info I needed.
