I hate to but in but you seem to know a lot of Gist genealogy. I'm having trouble finding a branch from Christopher Gist who my grandfather said we're related to through to Novella Gist b 7-20-1876 d 11-1914 married to William Oscar Carter b 10-31-1873 d 3-31-1959. They lived in Sparta, White County, Tennessee. Would you know anything about these people? My GGgrandparents were Montgomery Carter b 4-26-1848 d 4-3-1928 and Marietta Cashdollar b 6-9-1855 d 3-20-1878 in Tennessee. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Tracing this line is very hard. We've been trying for decades in our spare time and when money was available. Many records were taken in an estate sale without my father or aunts knowledge. I'm lost.
