The Gist and Myers families came together when Christopher Gist's granddaughter Maria Cecil Gist married Benjamin Gratz who was the son of Barnard Gratz and Richea Myers Cohen. Then Barnard Gratz's daughter Rachel Gratz married Solomon Edding. Their daughter Mariam Edding married Jacob Myers of the Ft Myers family. Jacob Myers is in my family which is known as the Myers/Phillips family. I am sure Margaret Ann Phillips Fowler is part of that Phillips family as well as the Uriah Phillips Levy family of Philadelphia. That family owned Thomas Jefferson's home from 1828 to about 1926. I have lot of records on these families and how they interconnect. William Henry Gist was the nephew of Christopher Gist. Christopher Gist partner was Dr thomas Walker the guardian of young Thomas Jefferson.
