I'm looking for the parents of a Charles W. Gist, b. IL, abt 1828. In 1870 he was living in Alexander, Benton county, MO, age 42. He was married to Harriett Mathews and (later?) Elizabeth Glaysbrooks. One of their children was named Ruzan (Ruzann, Rusan,etc.) Gist, who was born in Fayettville, Ark in 1857 and d. 8 March 1927 in Wheatland, Hickory county, MO.
