My grandfather on my mothers side was Clovis (not Clovie or Cloris as you stated in your original message) Girouard and his wife (mygrandmother)was Hortense. They lived in Edmonton , Alberta, Canada, but my mother was born August 22nd, 1907 in Lac la Biche, Alberta ( their home before they moved on to Edmonton) , in and around the 1950's I would assume that her mother and father ( which might be your relative) were born around 1880 - 1885 - but I am not too sure where these people were born, I only knew them as a child and I am now 71 years, it is difficult to remember all of these facts. I always remember that I believed them to have been born in Nova Scotia, it seems to me that they said they were Acadians and that they travelled to Alberta as settlers. Lac la Biche, Alberta was an Indian reservation at that time, however, these people were not aboriginal. My mother was Germaine Marguerite and she had two brothers named Leo and Johnny who were my uncles. If you read this and are interested in emailing me, please do. I would be interested to hear if you think that Clovis Girouard is your uncle. Thank you and regards,
Naomi Mercier (mymaiden name) Bennett
