Jean-Baptiste Girouard was born August 9, 1767 in Port-Royal, Acadie (modern day Nova Scotia). His parents were Joseph Girouard and Nathalie Leblanc (dite Anastasie Leblanc). He married Marie-Agathe Allaire on November 8, 1784 at St-Ours, Richelieu County, Quebec, Canada [PRDH 226567].
MOTHER

Marie-Agathe Allaire was born January 2, 1765 at St-Ours and baptised the same day at St-Denis-sur-Richelieu. Her parents were Francois Allaire and Marie-Ursule Labossiere [PRDH 325499].
PATERNAL GRANDFATHER

Joseph Girouard was born July 20, 1717 and baptised August 1, 1717 at Port-Royal. His parents were Claude Girouard and Elisabeth Blanchard [Stephen A White's "Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Acadiennes" p. 733]. He married Rosalie Hebert (daughter of Alexandre Hebert and Jeanne Dupuis) January 22, 1742 at Port-Royal [White p. 733]. He married Nathalie Leblanc February 19, 1748 at Port-Royal [White p. 733]. He was buried at St-Ours on August 25, 1776 [PRDH 377765].
PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER

Nathalie (dite Anastasie) Leblanc was born August 6, 1727 and baptised August 31, 1727 at Port Royal. Her parents were Jean-Simon Leblanc and Jeanne Dupuis.
MATERNAL GRANDFATHER

Francois Allaire was born November 19, 1736 at St-Ours and baptised December 1, 1736 at Contrecoeur, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. His parents were Eitenne Allaire and Marguerite Amiel-Lusignan [PRDH 181524]. He married Marie-Ursule Labossiere March 31, 1761 at Contrecoeur [PRDH 326522]. Francois died July 20, 1816 and was buried two days later at St-ours [PRDH 1160048].
MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER

Marie-Francoise Labossiere was born December 2, 1743 and baptised the next day at Contrecoeur. Her parents were Jean-Baptiste Labossiere and Marie-Ursule Rondeau [PRDH 181711]. Though born Marie-Francoise she went by Marie or Ursule most of her life (probably in honor of her mother who died before she was three). Marie died March 31, 1822 and was buried two days later in St-Ours [PRDH 1159915].
