lost links -Girouard-can you help?

Hi my name is Bill Gerrior, and I have been involved in extensive research of the Girouards over the past 17 years. Just getting familiar now with this great search tool "the internet" and how to use it. Still a novice though. ALL MY RESEARCH TO THIS POINT WAS DONE WITHOUT THE NET but I see great possibiities for finding those lost links using this electonique form and ask if anyone can help me with the following lost links of branches which have researched to that point.

The following branch, I believe to be Acadian, but the marriage I am looking for was celebrated in the U.S.A. and no one seems to know where, in the U.S. So until I find out where, I can not give any further connection to my master charts. IT IS THE PARENTS OF JOSEPH GIROURARD AND JULIA RODIER THAT I AM SEEKING. I found Joseph m. Julia Rodier in the St-Jude (Hotel de Ville records), during my research in P.Q., but no trace of his parents. Also in the 1881 Census of Canada records this family was at St-Barnabé, P.Q. The record indicates that two of oldest children were born in the U. S. A., thus most likely the marriage I am looking for was celebrated in the U. S. A.

Much information has been supplied by Derek Girouard, first cousin to Yves Girouard of this branch. Still there remains the missing link-the names of the parents of the above Joseph Girouard and Julia Rodier.

Perhaps some one out there (one of our readers in the U. S. A.) will have the one piece of missing information needed. ie. parents or location of the parents of Joseph Girouard m. Julia Rodier. I believe these branches are all Acadian, because in all the research on Canadian Branches, these particular names do not appear.

[Block R3001-4 of subchart 300] Jean baptiste Girouard, son of Joseph Girouard and Julia Rodier, m. Lea Pelltier, 1898, St-Jude of St-Hyacinthe, P.Q. Six children: 1. Annette m. Roland Flibotte, 1932; 2. Laura m. Henri Trinque; 3. Valeda m. Léo Peche, 1942; 4. Albina m. Amédée Juneau, 1919; 5. Aidéa m. Arthur Juneau, 1920. 6. Eva m. Hervé La France 1927.

[Block P3001-4 of Subchart 300] Stanislas Girouard, son of Joseph Girouard and Julia Rodier, m. Regina Valede LaBoissiere, 1909, having the following Two children: 1. Léo Leon m. Simone Roppe, St-Hyacinthe, P.Q., and Flora m. René Letourneau, 1949, St-Hyacinthe, P.Q.

[Block P3001-3 of subchart 3001] Ovide Girouard, son of Joseph Girouard and Joséphine Cormier m. Simone Beaubien. One child: Yves m. Chisliane Pelneault (one son: Patrick.

2. As well I AM LOOKING FOR THE PARENTS OF PIERRE GIROUARD m. Julie LaPierre who are the father and mother of Hilaire Girouard m. Sophie Thibault living in the Leominster, Mass area.(ref:Moncton Cards). Lorenso Girouard and Ronald P. Girouard descend from this branch but there does not seem to be any record of the parents of Pierre Girouard and Julie LaPierre. According to Loiselle notes on the Girouards, p.47, Pierre m. Julia LaPierre, 1888, Bonsecours, P. Q. I beleive this branch is Acadian originally from St-Ours area, but more information is needed to confirm this fact.

---------------------------------------------
3. I AM LOOKING FOR THE PARENTS AND THE WIFE OF THE FOLLOWING ARTHUR GIROUARD, who begins the block genealogy information below. I am not positive of the origin of this branch but I would guess they were Acadian also from their location and since they are not found in either of the two Canadian branches:

Genealogical Block Information: Arthur Girouard married____________ Three Children: 1. Jeanne m. Willie Cotteau; 2. Simone m. D.B. Orwell; 3. Charles; I)* 3. Robertine Gratton, married 1952.

I) Robertine Gratton, married twice 1952. Ten children from m2: 1) Pierre m. Gisele Chapot, Montreal; 2. Louise m. Paul Gratton, Montreal, P.Q.; 3. Michel Denise Sauvé, Montréal, P.Q.; 4. Robert married at St-Hilaire, P.Q.; 5. Jean m. Charles Mannon, Ottawa; 6. Denise Girouard m. Mr. Nobel, Montreal, P.Q.; 7. Francine m. Real Tardif, Montreal; 8. Andrée m. Guy Archambault (Africa); 9. Yves m. Nicole Drouin, 1935, Lotbinière, P.Q. (five children: (Christian, Brigitte m. Daniel Parent, Nicolas, Ian Yvan, Martin, Sonia); 10. Patrick m. Michelle Chartier). ALSO LOOKING FOR :

--------------------------------------------
4)I AM LOOKING FOR THE PARENTS of RAYMOND GIROUARD and Dorthy Lapointe, Nashua, N.Y of whom Normand Girouard is the grandson

-------------------------------------------
I AM LOOKING FOR THE ANCESTRY OF THE FOLLOWING:

5) Ancestry of Peter J. Girouard
whose father is also Pierre Girouard who lived in Fitchburg, Mass, Hartford, Conn.
---------------------------------------------
6) Ancestry of Mona Girouard
daughter of Gérard and Agatha Boucher and granddaughter of Alexandre Girouard.

--------------------------------------------
8) Ancestry of William Girouard m. Lena Pelaquin Boston.

-----------------------------------------
9) Finally I have one other branch to which I think the marriage I am looking for may also be found somewhere in the U.S.A. I AM LOOKING FOR THE PARENTS OF EVANGELISTE GIROUARD,beginning the block information below. Likely this branch is Acadian also due to their location and since they do not occur in either of the two Canadian branches. Here is their genealogy to date:

{
[Genealogy Block Information]: Evangeliste Girouard m. Louise (Eugenie) Roberge at St-Pierre de Becquet living in (Victoriaville) and surrounding area. Three children: 1. Elzier born, 1911, at Tingwick and m. Agnes Boucher; 2. Zenon m. Emma Morrisette (one child: André Girouard
m. Pierrette Sauvageau) (two children: Danniel m. Lise Lafond, Allain m. Anick Paquet); 3. Henri m. Laura Bessette (two children: Marc, and Diane m. Marcel Daudelin.

Child #3 Henry Girouard m. Laura Bessette. Children: I)* 1. Jean Girouard m. Stella Messier.

I) Jean Girouard m. Stella Messier. Four children: 1. Marc; 2. Luc m. Lucie Gauthier; 3. Dianne m. Marcel Daudelin; 4. Luc m. Lucie Gauthier.

In all cases it is simply one genreation gap to connect to the master chart. So perhaps a reader out there can help me.

Thanks, I look foward to hearing from anyone who can help. My E-MAIL is bgerrior@ns.sympatica.ca
