Just to clear up a little bit of genealogy here I think that you should know that Hippolite Girardot is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Detroit, next to his wife, a memeber of the Villerot family also from Athesans. I think too, that you should know that the home on Peter street in Sandwich is that of my grandmother, Mrs Francois X Girardot,daughter-in-law of Theodule. The home occupied by Theodule Girardot was located farther towards Windsor on Wyandotte street. That home has since been demolished
If you will look in "ancestry.com" you will find our tree located under the name "Loup" Girardot. This is a GEDCOM file and should be available for downloading. We're indebted to Chuck Kellett for much of the information shown in this tree.
I must confess that I knew nothing about information on the family located at Fort Malden. Thanks for the tip.
