I recently got the naturalization record for Anthony Gerardat in Stark County Ohio. In the record dated Sept.5,1840, the name is spelled Girardot. Next to
his name is Alexis Girardot. I believe he is the one who went to Indiana. Does anyone know if there is a connection between Anthony and Alexis? Anthony is my line. Two Anthonys came over from France, a father and son. I have census records that show this. I can't find the Anthonys before they came over or exactly when they came over. If I can make a connection to Alexis it would help. Does anyone know when Alexis came over and what was the name of the ship?
