Your message about doing research at Pembina, North Dakota caught my interest. I know you said you hadn't heard of the "Raymond/Gingras" combination, but the Raymond family I was requesting information on - their daughter (my husband's grandmother) Marie Anne Raymond was born in Iron Mountain, MI. Her husband (my husband's grandfather) William Hugh Johnston was born in Ontario, Canada. His family supposedly came through Pembina, North Dakota to the US and settled in Los Angeles, CA. To make a long story short - What kind of musuem is is Pembina, North Dakota? I always wondered if they kept record of all the people who crossed the border. I would appreciate any information. Thank you so much for your interest in the Gingras family. I see that you have posted many messages. Isn't genealogy fun!!!
