I am trying to find Rebecca Gilstrap's (b. 8/8/1826 d. 7/5/1888; m. David York, b. 9/17/1809 d. 8/8/1870) ancestors.

I have found info stating her parents are Nancy Johnson and William Gilstrap (b. 3/8/1798, Washington Co., IN). Can't confirm this beyond readings of others' research.

I've read that William Gilstrap's parents are Richard Gilstrap (b. 5/6/1768, Craven Co., NC; d. 12/8/1836, Howard Township, Washington Co. IN) and either Nancy Ann Wright (m. 5/24/1797?) or Mary Truitt/Truhet (m. 2/6/1786?). I have found conflicting marriage dates for both wives.

I am a descendant of Rebecca Gilstrap and David York (via Mariah Ann York). Any assistance (even if it's telling me I'm completely wrong!) would be greatly appreciated!
