I have been trying to find info on a Gilstrap marriage into my Holt line.
I found a marriage record for Sarah Ann Holt and John F Gilstrap, married 29 July 1894 in Granbury, Hood County, Texas.
The only other Gilstrap I have found in the area is James L Gilstrap. I have a marriage record for James marrying Martha McCrary 13 Oct 1881 and another marriage to M L Vaughn 29 May 1884. I also have a church record from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Listing J L and Martha Gilstrap as members. My Sarah Holt and her family are also listed as members.
Sarah is buried with her family in Santo East Cemetery, Palo Pinto County, Texas with the rest of her family. Her headstone simply reads Sarah Holt Gilstrap 1873-1915.
Does anyone have a clue who this John F Gilstrap's parents are?
