Christopher Gilson (Gelson) of Brooklyn and The West

I am seeking information on Christopher Gilson (Gelson), born in Ireland circa 1838, came to Brooklyn circa 1848, moved to Oregon and Washington Territory in the 1850's, then to Texas, Kansas, North Dakota and Nebraska. He died in Brooklyn in 1903. Chris had four children whilst out West, James, Mary, Ellen and Thomas, the last three of whom moved to Brooklyn to live with relatives after their mother, Margrett or Margaret, died circa 1873.
I would appreciate any information about Chris and his family. Thanks.
