I am a direct decendent of Phillip Gelsheinon. I have a copy of his citizenship papers (Philadelphia,PA) dated 9/28/1855 stating that he was a native of Ireland. The papers state that he declared his intention to become a citizen on 10/7/1851. He lived until November 20, 1870 married the daughter of Richard McKeever (who became a citizen on 4/21/1856). I have a complete tree from him down but no information other than a family memory that he may have originated in County Clare.
I'd bet we are talking about the same person.
