My grandfather and grandmother left around 1900 and went to Glasgow Scotland. His name was Joseph Gilsenan and my Grandmother was Rose Duffy. He was the son of Bernard Gilsenan and Rose Fitzsimons. My grandmother was the daughter of Patrick Duffy and Ann Rodgers. When they emigrated some of the family memebers were as follows: Barney Gilsenan, Hugh Gilsenan, Nora Gilsenan, Frank Gilsenan, Elizabeth Gilsenan, Terrence Duffy and Annie Duffy. This was all documented by my Uncle who was Priest the Reverend Joseph Fidelis Gilsenan who was back to Ireland several times before his death.
