Hello again Steve

Hope the German weather's better than here in Manchester. Browsing the site it looks like us two are the first for some time. Any way, I've managed to prise a bit more info from my father.

My grandfather was James Patrick Gilsenan born Athboy Meath around 1899, he married Bridget O'Toole who was about 15 years younger than him. James had three brothers Arthur, John and Martin, and I think two Half sisters. My great-gandmother married twice and I think her name was Downey when she died.

It would appear that most Gilsenans originate from Meath.

Any way would be greatful for any further info.
