Hey Tony, What a coincidence on the names! My father is Anthony Robert Gilsenan, and his mother's name was Kathleen Gilsenan (not her maiden name). I was in Kells last month and wandered around the cemetary, but saw no Gilsenan headstones there. Interestingly, I was in another churchyard in Athboy and saw a headstone for a Kathleen Gilsenan there. She passed away in 1963, but is not my Grandmother. I don't know of any direct connection, though I suppose there must be. Have you seen the Scottish shop in Capilano Mall? I think that it must be new, although I don't know North Van that well. We were there earlier on this week though, and they have some good Irish genealogy stuff there. I didn't see any Gilsenan stuff on display, but they could probably get it I suppose. They did have the Nugent coat of arms on a map of Ireland, which is the same as ours. I do have a couple of copies of the Coat of arms, one of which was cleverly photocopied by Matt. I will e-mail it to you directly or post it in a place where you can pick it up. Which do you prefer? What is your e-mail inbox capacity? Meeting for a pint sounds good to me. I will send you my contact info by e-mail. Looking forward to it. Rory Notify Administrator about this message?
