Hey theree LeAnn,
Its funny you mention the name Nalle, it is almost to similar to McNally or Nally a name which is in abundancy in the Naul area. I have in the past been in contact with some people who had there original name changed by accident during imigration control. It would not be a surprise if someone by the name of Nally or McNally left these shores, and by accident, paper work regarding that person ended up with a mis-spelling of there name.
It was also a popular thing for us Irish to inherate our home towns name whilst out of the country (i.e paul from Dublin became Paul Dublin) there are so many sirnames with irish town routes.
It may be a possibility that your family origins our in the naul, but under the name Nally.
It may or may not be, but I will try and get a mail address from someone in the know back home in the Naul.

Where are at present?
Talk soon Paul
