I have just been looking at different sites and seen this. Yes Gironan's from Cavan. My grandad was John Gilronan , he died in 1958 when I was 6. There is a good bit of info on the Gilronan's. I have some from the Mullane family ,from NJ.
I live in London but my sister Margaret Brady lives in BAWN BOY,CAVAN.John Gilronan lived and died in Bawn, he married Katie Mc Govern and they had 6 children, my mum ANNIE and her twin John were the oldest. There was another brother Pe(Peter) and 3 sisters,Susan,Sarah and Kathleen,my mum was born in 1912.
We had a family reunion in 2000 and there were a few visitors from different parts of America .
It would be good to learn more.
