Annual Gilreath Reunion in North Georgia, August 2010
I would like to invite Gilreath descendants who might be interested to make plans to attend the annual Gilreath Reunion in north Georgia near Dawsonville and Dahlonega at Amicolalola Falls State Park on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
This reunion is for the descendants of William Gilreath of Wilkes County, NC, back in the 1700s, which are just about all Gilreaths in the US. Please bring a covered dish, meat, or dessert, etc. to share with everyone. Meet at 10:00 AM and lunch will be around 12:00 PM.
I will have a computer and scanner if you would like to bring any old Gilreath family photos that you want to share. I will scan them while you watch, and give them right back to you. I also have a projector and screen and will be showing old Gilreath photos all during the reunion.
Kenneth and Melvin Gilreath, who have researched the Gilreath family history extensively, usually attend, so if you are interested in family history, this would be a good reunion to attend.
I have a mailing list from which I will send out invitations to those who have attended past reunions and from those who have notified me to add their names to this list. I will mail those invitations out in June 2010. You do not have to receive an invitation to attend, but most folks just like a reminder, and not everyone has Internet access and a computer, so just let me know if you want me to add you to my invitation list. You can e-mail me directly from this website or post here.
Hope you will be able to attend this year. See you there.
