Could this be the Brandywine Mills on the Brandywine, near Wilmington, Delaware? Thomas Gilpin, 2nd son of Samuel and Jane Parker Gilpin was adopted by his uncle Thomas and later inherited it. For more info email me Grams31@aol.com
