I will be going to Mt.Pleasant in Oct.to the Cook family reunion,my grand mother was Mary Jane Gilpin Cook.Hope to learn more info at that time.It is usually held the second week of Oct. at Skidmores, big building, Mount Pleasant I will know for sure the date next month. My understanding is that Richard Gilpin owned a lot of land in the aera.
