that JAMES Gilpin married Rebecca Potts, in Rowan Co., NC on 4-29-1789.

Is this the same groom as your Benjamin?

I have an interest in the NC GILPIN family, in that my g-g-grandfather, William Stephen Cooper, was possibly from Rowan Co., NC, and had a son named Hardy GILPIN Cooper.

I've tried to find a positive connection between the COOPER & GILPIN family because of this clue.
