My grandfather was George Cyrus Gilpin born 1889 in Wisconsin, his father was William John Gilpin born 1857 in Ireland.

William came to Quebec, Canada about 1861 with his parents and sister Mary Jane.

I realize the dates are far apart, however perhaps they are from the same branch of the Gilpin Family?
