I am searching for additional information regarding the ancestors, siblings and full name of John GILPIN, who was born approximately 1838 in KY. John married Nancy A. JONES, approximately 1860. Nancy was from Alton, IL, or Alton, KY. Following their marriage, John and Nancy resided in IL, MO and OK. John died in OK. John may have been the brother of William W. GILPIN, of Alton, IL, who enlisted in the 126th IL Infantry, in 1864.
