Does anyone have any information on William James Sherer's first wife Jody Gilpin? They were probably married in Walker County Alabama about 1870-74. On the 1880 census, it shows her name as Josephine. But I can't find anyone who knows anything about her family or exactly when they were married.
William was my ggg grandfather, his second wife Alice was my ggg grandmother. Their daughter Minnie was my great great grandmother, I am fortunate enough to have had her around when I was small..and I have very vivid memories of her.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
