I have received a Death certificate for a Hugh Gilmour. He is not who I was looking for but have never the less found him intriguing and am wondering of whose line he belongs and if I am in anyway connected to this Hugh. His father is Robert Gilmour who was an Auctioneer, I assume in Scotland. His mother's name is Mary Purday/Purday/Purdy, the last few letters are unclear. He married Mary McGousen in Stephenson Scotland. Had three children, moved to Australia around 1848. He died on the 18th October 1913 in Newcastle Australia. It would be nice to find a family member and maybe pass this on, and find out his story for my on interest.
