I am seeking information on the GILMOUR family, who owned and resided at South Hillhead farm near Mearns, Renfrewshire, Scotland until 1861.

Andrew Gilmour (b. 1809, d. 1869, m. Jean Faulds 1835) sold the property in 1861 and emigrated with his family to Ontario, Canada, settling at Dorchester. Several of Andrew's descendants later relocated to Lacombe, Alberta.

Andrew was one of six children of Thomas Gilmour and Janet Fleming, who also had resided at South Hillhead. I have found various earlier references to earlier Gilmours at Hillhead, but am having trouble making the links.
