John H. (1782-1834) & Hollon (1786-1857) Gilmore

John Heard Gilmore (Oct. 9, 1782 - Apr. 16, 1834) and Hollan Hodges (Oct. 11, 1786 - Feb. 5, 1857) were married Sept. 11, 1806. They both died in Henry Co., AL. These dates are correct as they were recorded in the Family Bible Record Pages, which I obtained copies of in 1970 and have made available to anyone over the years who might want them. I am finding in family trees on ancestry.com that it is being stated that they were married in Savannah, Chatham Co., GA. Where is this information coming from? I would be most interested in documents stating this marriage took place in Savannah. Also, there are a number of sites showing Samuel Gilmore (John Heard Gilmore's father) and family were of "Toinall Co., VA." There is no such place. These Gilmores did live in Tattnall Co., GA in the early 1800s.
If some one has proof of the marriage in Savannah, please let me know.
