I am looking for any additional biographical info on the above man. This is all I have on him. Company B was recruited mainly out of Marion County, Alabama.
William M. Gilmer 2nd Cpl. Enlisted October 5, 1861. Admitted to Chimbarazo for fever on June 23, 1863 and returned to duty on July 14. Present at Andersonville as 2nd Cpl.
Did he survive the War? When and where did he die? When and where was he born? Is there is a photo out there of him? Any info would be great.
