I was happy to find this thread about the Robertson/Gillon connection.
I have David Gillon's wife as being Jane Robertson instead of Janet. She was my great great grandfather's sister.
In a bunch of old family photos that my father has I found one of "Robert and May." The photo dates from between 1908 and 1918. The photo also says "To Uncle John with kind regards." I believe that Uncle John is John Duncan Robertson, Sr., Jane (Robertson) Gillon's sister. I also believe that Robert and May are Robert Robertson Gillon and Mary May Gillon.
I scanned the photo and would be happy to send an electronic copy to anyone for whom the photograph has meaning. Please email me at
I would also like to know if anyone can provide information about how Jane Gillon died or where she is buried.
